case
study
investigated
both
the
teacher
attributes
and the
institutional
factors
that
contributed
to
teachers
'
proficiency
with and
use
of
educational
technology
in a
high
school
setting
. A
case
study
design
was
employed
to
develop
four
embedded
case
studies
within
the
context
of a
single
high
school
case
. A
cross-case
analysis
of the
four
embedded
cases
suggested
that the
similarities
and
differences
in the
case
study
participants
'
pedagogical
beliefs
and
approach
to
teaching
and
learning
influenced
their
levels
of
proficiency
.
Furthermore
,
teachers
'
perceptions
of and
experiences
with the
characteristics
of the
institution
had an
impact
on their
use
and
integration
of
technology
.
