Abstract	In the spring of 2012 a survey was distributed electronically to two-hundred participants including students, faculty and staff at each of the four Connecticut State Universities. Interviews of key faculty and staff were also carried out. The objectives of the study were to explore the relationships between campus sustainability and how significantly it could be related to changes in society, curriculum demand, technological advances, and presence of an environmental leader. The results of this study revealed the following relationships; There is a gradual change in response and evolution of sustainability based on developments within the general society; Demand for courses and changes in curricula are the result of rising costs of lifestyle, environmental degradation, climate change conscience and developments in society; Technological advances have led to improved applications of sustainability methods on campus; Presence of an environmental champion and or leader on campus leads to changes in courses, and integration of sustainability into the curriculum and overall university mission; Changes have not been equal across the four CSU system universities based on accessibility to resources, initiatives, environmental leaders.
