compared

hoc
tests

Focus
groups
of
students

interviewed
about
reading-related
factors
that
affect
students
'
CAPT
science
test
performance
.
CAPT
science
released
items
were
examined
for
readability
and
instructional
level
. A
positive
,
moderate-to-strong
relationship
was
found
between
students
'
scores
on the
two
CAPT
sections
.
Students
reported
many
reading-related
factors
associated
with
CAPT
science
released
items
.
Readability
and
instructional
levels
of
items
were
generally
commensurate
with
typical
10th-grade
students
.
