Notes	Product non-conformances which is one aspect of manufacturing that for the most part is ignored by researchers, analyst and media at large, has a significant effect on the cost of production. This research focuses on the processes and practices used to investigate the cause of product non-conformances at a single plant from a Major Manufacturing Concern. More specifically it considers the amount and level of training that employees performing product non-conformance investigations, at this single facility have received relative to root cause investigation tools and corrective action definition techniques and how that training may be affecting the level of product non-conformances at the facility. A descriptive study was performed to understand the relationship that root cause tools and corrective action definition technique training may have on the non-conformance rates at this facility. The results are limited to a qualitative analysis of the collected data. The site's historical training data was collected an analyzed. The number of employees that have actually completed the related training was collected. A survey of employees involved in product non-conformance investigations was also performed with 44% of the selected population participating.
