teaching
as
well
as their
students

learning
.
Intrinsic
and
extrinsic
motivators
are
examined
and
teacher
strategies
to
promote
intrinsic
motivators
are
explored
. The
findings
of the
study
showed
that
while
the
teachers
knew
that
intrinsic
motivation
is
the
ideal
, they
heavily
relied
on
extrinsic
motivators
. The
study
showed
that
teachers
need
time
to
develop
and
implement
strategies
to
nurture
students
'
intrinsic
motivation
.
