Title	Oral history interview with Jared D. Taylor recorded 2009 Sept. 2
Description	Interview conducted by Gregg Cerosky. Jared Taylor joined the U.S. Marine Corps in May of 1999. He went to basic training at Parris Island, S.C. On his first deployment he was sent to Honduras to work as an MP. In 2003, his next deployment, he was assigned to a naval ship that transported supplies between Crete and Kuwait. In 2006, he was again sent overseas, to join Regimental combat Team 5, in Fallujah, Iraq. Their mission was to look for insurgents, as well as train the Iraqi police, and win “the hearts and minds” of the Iraqi people. During the interview he describes the reactions of the Iraqi people to their presence, and what their missions consisted of on a daily basis. Upon his return to the U.S., Taylor completed his degree at CCSU, and at the time of the interview was pursuing a master’s degree. He will likely be deployed again in 2010.
