Dear Mom and Pop,
Here I am on the second sheet of this letter and hope you and the rest back home are in the best of health. I'm coming along okay and beginning to like this place. Plenty rest, sleep and eat and ________. Boy they really treat the boys pretty good here.
Now about last nights letter I get the full picture on what Mary and about Malcome getting married. It's our aunt and Pat's mother. Well, I am surprised for little did I realize that she would marry again. Is she living on Franklin St. now? Did her children say anything about this? Give her congratulations from me.
About my friend Joe Dobek if he comes down again tell him to leave his address. Mary wrote and said he wants me around lots since he came home. I never did receive any from him, unless they're on their way now. It was real swell of him to meet you. Boy wait until the fellows in the outfit know that he's home. They'll be so glad too. He was liked by all. He and I were close buddies. Whose living upstairs now?
I'm glad that the business is going along okay and Frank is kept busy. I hope he's making enough to pay for the payments on the house. What kind of work is he doing now? I'll be closing now and writing on another sheet so, so long for awhile.
Love, Joe
