Title	Oral history interview with Nicholas S. Macsata recorded 2008 Nov. 16.
Description	Interview conducted by Alan Peterson. Nicholas Macsata joined the U.S. Army just after graduating from high school in 1994. He went to basic training at Fort Bragg, N.C., which he describes as fast paced, and then went on to Fort Lee, Va. And Fort Benning, Ga. For airborne school he was assigned to the 528 Special Operations Support Battalion as an aviation fuel specialist, which he did from 1995-1997. They went on missions to Panama, Nevada, Louisiana, and Florida, where they did high speed re-fueling. He then reenlisted in the army, and received a scholarship to Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he received a degree in Industrial Engineering and was part of the ROTC program. After graduation from college, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant and when into the quartermaster corps. Macsata was called up to go to Iraq in 2005, where he managed numerous parts of the 612th Quartermaster Company. During the interview Macsata also talks about food, stress, humorous events, and his fellow soldiers.
