Title	Synopsis of oral history interview with John William Wolf
Description	This synopsis of the oral history interview with John W. Wolf recorded on 2004 Feb. 11 and conducted by Eileen Hurst at Central Connecticut State University. John Wolf was drafted into the Air Force in 1944 and completed his basic training in Miami, FL right on the beach. After completing training to become an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, he was stationed at Dover Air Force Base several times during his 25 year career. He was an Assistant Line Chief at Hickam Field in Hawaii and worked on C-54s up to C-124s. When WWII ended, he decided to make a career out of the military and remained with the Air Force. He was able to travel all over the world and the United States. He was stationed in Vietnam on Cam Rahn Air Force Base during the Vietnam War. Throughout his career in the Air Force he managed NCO clubs on the air bases at which he was stationed. After he retired from the military in 1967, he worked at Pratt & Whitney for nine years and volunteered at the Newington VA Hospital where he contributed more than 4,000 hours of service.
